Project Renovate Rivers State 2017: How It Went Down

An indigenous Non-Governmental Organisation, The Initiative for Africa Youth Leadership, IAYLAfrica, Yesterday, held its flagship project, “PROJECT RENOVATE RIVERS STATE 2017” in Portharcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The well-attended event focused on the Social reorientation of students in Senior Secondary Schools with an emphasis on school leaders and prefects from all major colleges in Port Harcourt.
Speaking at the sidelines of the Event, the Director of IAYLAfrica, Obayi Godwin expressed his desire to re-orientate younger ones who have opportunities to serve in various leadership positions in their schools to enable them exhibit commendable behaviors such that would be imbibed by their fellows.
He stated that the project is expected to be held in all parts of Nigeria and Africa starting with Rivers State.
In attendance were key stakeholders in the State Educational Sector, the Deputy director of the National Orientation Agency, Rivers State, key media persons, representatives from the various Local Government Councils and Prefects from various schools all across Rivers State.
