The Nigeria Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, has said military action alone cannot solve the problem of militancy in the Niger Delta region. He has stated that the Militants are his brothers and therefore it it is his responsibility to go back home and dialogue with them.
According to Kachikwu, dialogue can be used to quell the uprising in the area. He said this while speaking at an interactive session on removal of fuel subsidy organized by the Coalition of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) held in Lagos yesterday…
“The military barrels cannot stop or solve problem of militancy in the Niger–Delta region. I will have to go back to my brothers, they are our brothers we will go and dialogue with them,”
