NAFDAC Sites South East Zonal Headquarters in Imo.

The Honourable Member Representing Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma and Obowo in the Federal House of Reps, and also the House Committee Chairman on Health Care Services, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, has disclosed that the zonal office headquarters of NAFDAC will soon be sited in IMO state.

Deacon Chike Okafor disclosed this yesterday in Ihitte Uboma local government area council, during his enlarge meeting with members of Pentecostal churches from the area. He told them that the land for the take-off of the project has been provided by His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) issued and assured that the agency will soon kickstart the project.

He opined that the project when completed will create over 300 jobs for the people of the constituency and Imo state in general, ranging from administrative staff to other departments of the agency.

He further informed them that plans are underway to site a NAFDAC laboratory centre in Okigwe South which he said was awaiting aproval from the minister for health, denoting that the project when completed shall give over 200 jobs to the people of the constituency, the excitement of all members of the Pentecostal churches which graced the event knew no bounds over the good news.

Recapping it up, Deacon Chike Okafor used the opportunity to inform them of his free medical outreach programme that will officially kickstart on Monday, in Ehime Mbano LGA, he identified all the centres in Ihitte Uboma LGA that will be used throughout the programme and urged them on the need for massive sensitization of their members to enable them benefit from the free medical outreach services.

The Honourable Member kickstarted the meeting with songs and praises which has turned out to be his trademark as he held the crowd spellbound for hours, worshipping and singing unto the Lord.

He was accompanied to the occasion by his wife Mrs Akudo Okafor, the T.C chairman of Ihitte Uboma LGA Hon. Ohaeri, Chris lance Osondu, party leaders, friends and well wishers.
