Buhari Has Not Approved New Minimum Wage.
A source in the Presidency has revealed that President Buhari has not yet endorsed the N30,000 minimum wage suggested by Organized Labour Union.
According to the report, the Presidency has frowned at the misinterpretation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s remarks when he received the report of the Tripartite Committee on the Review of National Minimum Wage from the committee’s chairman, Ama Pepple, on Tuesday.
The presidential source, who preferred to stay annonymous, said the president did not endorse N30,000 as proposed by committee as being reported by some sections of the media.
He, however, stated that President Buhari had expressed his commitment to ensuring the implementation of a new National Minimum Wage.
